Urgent Call: Help complete the renovation of Tiruvāli–Tirunagari Divya Deśam

The Tiruvāli–Tirunagari Divya Deśam has been undergoing renovation since 2024. During this period, no utsavams for Svāmi Tirumaṅgai Āḻvār have taken place. Most renovation work is now complete, and the only remaining project is the repair and restoration of the Temple Rampart Walls (Tirumaḍil Suvargaḷ).

The estimated cost of the remaining project is 27 Lakh INR or $30,000 USD. Please donate now to help complete the renovation so that festivals etc can resume at the temple. We invite all of you to visit the temple and participate in the festivals once renovations are complete!

Tiruvāli–Tirunagari is a pair of closely located Divya Deśams (sacred Viṣṇu temples praised in the Nālāyira Divya Prabandham) situated near Sīrkāḻi in Tamil Nadu. These temples are deeply associated with Tirumaṅgai Āḻvār, one of the twelve Śrīvaiṣṇava Āḻvārs, and hold great significance in the Śrīvaiṣṇava tradition.

  • Tiruvāli: Presiding deity – Lakṣmī Narasiṃha Perumāḷ (also called Kalyāṇa Raṅganātha in some traditions)

  • Tirunagari: Presiding deity – Vedanārāyaṇa Perumāḷ

  • Goddess (Tāyār): Amṛtavallī / Pūrṇavallī Tāyār

Tirumaṅgai Āḻvār Utsavam is the most important annual festival.

The famous Vēḍupari festival reenacts the episode where the Āḻvār attempted to rob the Lord and received spiritual initiation.
